FOREST
Forest is my first real project in Unreal Engine. I wanted to use the landscape system that provide Unreal Engine with Houdini.
I've in addition used the new Unreal Reader node that allowed an easy connexion between Unreal Engine and Nuke for a better compositing.

LANDSCAPE
The landscape was made in Houdini with HeightField then exported with depth map for Unreal Engine.

The landscape material was then added in Unreal Engine
but with the help of alpha map created in Houdini.

All the foliage was then added in Unreal Engine with custom map in Houdini.

LIGHTING
The lighting and rendering was made in Unreal Engine 5 with the use of Lumen but also some Path Tracing
for a better result.

For the landscape and the foliage, Nanite was very useful for working with this large scale set.

COMPOSITING
The compositing was made in Nuke with a plugin called Unreal Reader that allowed me to link my Unreal Engine project with my compositing.

Connecting Passes and Camera to get a 3D view of my project in Nuke and getting an easier workflow between the two software.

BREAKDOWN
The rain was added in compositing with multiple layer depending on the depth of the render.
A 3D view of the render in the software was very usefull for this part.
